MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025498 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'automated bubble wrap fabrication device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Tejinder Pal Singh Brar; Dr. Simrat Kaur; Sahil Choudhary; and Teena Bali.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated bubble wrap fabrication device, comprising a platform 1 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface, touch interactive display panel 2 that is accessed by a user for providing input regarding length of a bubble wrap sheet to be fabricated, motorized roller 3 to rotate for unwinding a double plastic sheet coiled on the roller 3, artificial intelligence-based imaging unit for capturing images of the platform 1 to determine length of sheet, pair of vertical support 4 integrated with a motorized scissor lift arrangements 5 for positioning a bar 6 for getting aligned on the sheets, heating unit 7 for pressing the bar 6 against surface of the sheets for fusing pressed section of the sheets, air compressor 9 for filling air in the pocket and motorized clipper 10 to grip and fuse the lower end of the sheet in order to fabricate the bubble wrap."
