MUMBAI, India, June 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311084460 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Dec. 11, 2023, for 'automated cable connector plugin device.'

Inventor(s) include Pradeep Kumar Jindal; Taranjeet Kaur; and Sonia Bhukra.

The application for the patent was published on June 20, under issue no. 25/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated cable connector plugin device, comprising a body 1 configured with microphone 2 which receives user's voice command for attaching body 1 over cable, a camera 3 for detecting cable near to body 1, a holographic projection unit 4 to project area to position body 1 over cable, a pair of members 5 attached with each other via hinge 6 to provide movement to member, a pair of C-shaped flaps 7 attached with members 5 and configured with multiple links 8 attached with each other via multiple motorized sliders 9 to extend flaps 7 for clasping connector paired with cable, a pair of L-shaped telescopically operated rods 10 attached with body 1 to extend towards a socket/port to plugged in the connector, and a suction cup 11 configured at end of each of the rods 10 to establish a grip in between socket/port and body 1."
