MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311088376 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Dec. 22, 2023, for 'automated cable tray manufacturing device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Ashutosh Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated cable tray manufacturing device, comprising of a housing 1 positioned on a ground surface, a touch interactive display panel 2 for providing input regarding dimensions of a cable tray which user wants to manufacture, a chamber 3 stored with metallic sheets, a robotic arm 4 to grip one of sheet from chamber 3, a platform 5 integrated with a pair of vertical rods 6 that is accessed by arm for inserting sheet through a gap, a flap 9 to deploy flaps 9 in an upward direction at a pre-defined angle against sheet which results in tilting of ends of sheet at pre-defined angle to form structure of a cable tray, and a drilling unit 11 for drilling multiple holes on cable tray in order to manufacture a perforated cable tray."
