MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531019832 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 5, for 'automated carpet aligning device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated carpet aligning device, comprising a platform 101 positioned over a ground surface of an enclosure that is layered with a carpet, plurality of motorized wheels 102 arranged beneath the platform 101 provides translation to platform 101 over surface, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 103 installed over said platform 101 for capturing and processing images of surface to evaluate a 3-Dimensional mapping of surface, a plate 104 configured with the platform 101 by means of a pair of motorized slider crank arrangements by means of a pair of motorized slider crank arrangements position plate 104 over carpet and installed with plurality of suction units 105 to grip carpet, a horizontal shaft 106 by means of a first robotic link affix aligned carpet with edge, plurality of pneumatic pins 108 installed over shaft 106 apply pressure over carpet to affix carpet with edge of surface."
