MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010132 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'automated ceiling design making device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated ceiling design making device, comprising a circular platform 1 configured with four motorized wheel 3 for providing movement to platform 1, a chamber 4 in which a plastering paste is filled, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 6 to evaluate 3D mapping of ceiling as displayed on a touch interactive display panel 7 for enabling user to select ceiling design and a portion of surface, a first robotic link 8 assembled with an electronic nozzle 9 for dispensing paste on user-specified portion, a telescopic column 10 extends and positions a circular plate on dispensed paste, a motorized disc 11 rotates in a manner to spread paste, a second robotic link 13 configured with a flap 5 to carve design on paste, a laser sensor for detecting excess spreading of paste, and a third robotic link 15 configured with a scrapping tool 16 for scraping excess paste."
