MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023126 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 24, 2024, for 'automated cell battery removing/fitting device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated cell battery removing/fitting device, comprises of a platform 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, a rotatable circular plate 2 arranged on the platform 1 for positioning an object from which cell battery is to be removed, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit is mounted on the platform 1 to detect dimensions of the object, plurality of motorized clippers integrated on periphery of the plate 2 to acquire a grip on the object for securing the object on the plate 2, a pair of robotic arms 3 installed on the platform 1 for removing the cell battery from the object, a motorized clamping unit arranged with the arm to grip ends of the battery cell, a motorized pin joint configured in between the robotic arm and clamping unit for removing/ fitting cell battery onto battery slot of the object."
