MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018895 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'automated chain lubrication device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Akash Kumar Verma.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated chain lubrication device, comprises of a frame 1 positioned in proximity to a setup install with a chain to be lubricated, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 for detecting positioning of chain with respect to the frame 1, a telescopically operated L-shaped rod 3 for positioning a roller 4 coiled with a sponge 5 in contact with the chain, multiple electronically controlled valves 6 arranged on roller 4 for dispensing lubricant on the sponge 5, a motorized bevel gear arrangement 7 arranged between roller 4 and rod for rotating the roller 4, multiple electromagnets 8 for translating chain underneath roller 4 in order to lubricate the chain, a pair of motorized pivot joints integrated between pair of links 10 and frame 1 configured with extendable pins 11 for cleaning residuals from the chain."
