MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006938 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 1, 2024, for 'automated circular cavity chamfering device.'

Inventor(s) include Ramandeep Singh Deorda; Ravinder Singh; Dheeraj Kumar Gautam; and Gurjesh Singh Chib.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an automated circular cavity chamfering device, comprising an extendable circular frame 1 positioned around a circular cavity cut on a surface, an capturing module 2 installed on the frame 1 determining cavity diameter, multiple suction units 3 arranged beneath the frame 1 positioning the frame 1 around the cavity, a blade 4 arranged on inner periphery of the frame 1 via a telescopic link 5 positioning blade 4 in proximity to cavity edge, a display panel 6 arranged on the frame 1 enabling user's input commands, a motor 7 coupled with the blade 4 adjusting blade 4 angle, a sliding arrangement 8 at inner periphery of the frame 1 translating the blade 4, an ultrasonic sensor 9 integrated within the frame 1 detecting cavity edge and an angle sensor 10 detecting blade 4 angle."
