MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013498 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'automated cleaning device for whiteboard.'
Inventor(s) include Yogiraj Anil Bhale.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated cleaning device for whiteboard, comprises of a platform 1 configured with a handle 2 that is clasped by a user for holding the platform 1 in a secured manner, a voice recognition module 3 is installed over the platform 1 to receive the user's voice commands regarding area to be cleaned over the board, foam dusters 4 attached over the platform 1 via a rotating arrangement 5 to provide a to and fro motion to the paddle 7, results in rotation of the disc, an oval shaped member attached over the disc, linked with the dusters 4 via multiple bars to rotate on axis for providing a translator motion to the bars results in translator motion of the dusters 4 over the board, and an artificial intelligence-based camera 8 mounted over the platform 1 to for detecting text/images drawn over the board."
