MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023494 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'automated commodities securing device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated commodities securing device comprise of a body 1 integrated with a pair of rings 3 that are accessed by a user for engaging the body 1 on rails of a rack, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit to determine hanging of multiple commodities on rack, multiple motorized wheels 4 for moving the body 1 towards the commodities in view of securing the commodities on the rack a finger print sensor 5 is integrated on the body 1 that is accessed by a user for casting the user's finger print impression on the sensor 5 for authentication purpose, and multiple electromagnets for attaching portions of body 1, a drawer arrangement 2 to get retracted for creating a slit on the rings 3, and a motorized clamping unit 6 to position a suction unit for adhering to surface in view of suspending portions of the body 1 on the support."
