MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026068 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'automated confetti popping device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Ramandeep Saini; Dr. Baljinder Kaur; Dr. Charu; Akash Patel; and Hartik Taneja.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated confetti popping device, comprises of a rectangular platform 1 developed to be positioned on stage of a concert, plurality of suction cups 2 for securing the platform 1 on the stage, a multi-sectioned chamber 3 for storing confetti of different shapes and sizes, a motorized lid 4 to open for dispensing a pre-defined amount of confetti, compressor 7 to dispense highly pressurized compressed air with the body, an electronically controlled nozzle 6 in rapid blowing of the confetti over the stage via opening, a motorized ball and socket joint 9 to orient the body in a manner that opening of the nozzle 6 is diverted, an electronic sprayer 10 is attached with a container 11 stored with liquid fragrance for spraying the liquid fragrance in surroundings to eliminate any unpleasant odor."
