MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024820 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'automated copper utensils cleanings device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Maninder Gill; Dr. Sonika; Khushbu Sharma; and Sahil Punia.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated copper utensils cleanings device, comprising a body 1 positioned on a fixed surface, an opening is accessed by a user for accommodating a copper utensil to be cleaned inside body 1, a plate 2 arranged inside body 1 accommodates copper utensil, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 is installed inside body 1 determines positioning of utensil on plate 2, plurality of motorized clamps 4 integrated on plate 2 acquires grip on utensil, plurality of chambers arranged inside body 1, each integrated with a hollow L-shaped rod, each of rods are integrated with an electronically controlled nozzle 6 dispenses reagents stored in chambers over utensil in order to solubilize dirt/rust accumulated on surface of utensil, a motorized gripper 7 positions a scrubber over plate 2, a motorized ball and socket joint provides angular movement to scrubber over utensil, and an air blower 5 blows dry utensil."
