MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311088378 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Dec. 22, 2023, for 'automated crops cutting device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Pankaj Kumar Tiwari.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated crops cutting device, comprising a telescopically operated elongated frame 1 held by a user over a farm grown with crops, a handle 4 for providing a grip to user while changing positioning of frame 1, a pressure sensor for detecting gripping of handle 4, a motorized clamping unit 5 for clamping user's hand, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 6 to determine type and length of crops, a holographic projection unit 7 to assist user while positioning a pair of blades 8 at an optimum position on crops, and an ultrasonic sensor for detecting positioning of crops, a sliding unit 9 for providing movement to blades 8 in a manner that aids in cutting of blades 8."
