MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311079694 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Nov. 23, 2023, for 'automated curtain management device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated curtain management device comprises of an elongated extendable body 1 having a first end configured with a suction cup for adhering the body 1 with a cornice of an enclosure, a pair of C-shaped members 2 initially stored in a stowed state, a microphone 3 accessed by a user to give voice commands for holding the curtain in drawn state, a camera 4 for detecting a central position of the curtain, a pair of motorized hinges configured between a primary end of members 2 in view of accommodating the curtain between the members 2, a sun sensor detects sun in surroundings, a speaker 5 to notify the user to cover the window with the curtain, a dust sensor to detect level of dust on the curtain and a suction unit to collect the dust within a chamber."
