MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024704 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 27, 2024, for 'automated dent removing device for metal workpiece.'

Inventor(s) include Sushil Kumar Tripathi; and Rajesh Gupta.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated dent removing device for metal workpiece, comprising of a platform 1 for placed with a metal work-piece, a touch enabled screen 2 for enabling a user to give input commands, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 paired with a processor for capturing and processing multiple images of the platform 1, a telescopically operated gripper 4 for gripping and positioning work-piece, a first and second rollers 5 via rod 6 L-shaped telescopically operated bar 7 for extend/retract work-piece between the rollers 5, a pressure sensor is configured on each of the rollers 5 for detecting pressure, a pair of motorized clamps 8 integrated with a pair of L-shaped telescopically links 9 for gripping ends of work-piece, a BLDC (Brushless Direct Current) electric motor for rotating the rollers 5, a motorized two-axis lead screw arrangement 10 for providing a suitable bi-directional motion to the links."
