MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026024 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'automated dent removing device for work-piece.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated dent removing device for work-piece, comprises of a cuboidal hollow frame 1 gripped by a user to position the body on dent over a work-piece, a touch enabled screen 4 for enabling the user to give input commands for removing the dent, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 for capturing and processing multiple images of the work-piece, a motorized two-axis lead screw arrangement 9 for providing a suitable bi-directional motion to the rod 7, hydraulic rod 7 and equipped with plurality of suction cup to extend for positioning the suction cups in contact with the dent, a vacuum-based suction unit 10 for generating vacuum underneath the suction cups for adhering the suction cups on the dent, plurality of electronic sprayers 11 for spraying paint of the detected color, air blower 13 for blowing hot air in view of drying the paint."
