MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004727 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 23, 2024, for 'automated device for cleaning window panels.'

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A automated device for cleaning window panels includes a platform 1 positioned on a ground surface and accessed by a user to place a window panel to be cleaned, an imaging unit 2 to determine positioning of panel and accordingly two grippers 3 grips and insert panel between a pair of plates 4, a laser sensor to detect thickness of panel, a slider 5 provides movement to plates 4 for securing panel between plates 4, a dust sensor detects presence of dust particles on panel, two brushes 6 assembled on plates 4 for rotating on axis to clean dust particles followed by actuation of multiple nozzles 7 assembled on plates 4 for dispensing a cleaning solution on panel for cleaning panel, a LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) sensor mapped on plates 4 for detecting presence of cracks on panel and accordingly a speaker 8 generates voice commands to notify user."
