MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024157 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'automated door closing device.'
Inventor(s) include Sirjandeep Singh; Rahul; Vikashdeep Singh Mann; Kushdeep Rana; and Sahil Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated door closing device, comprising a U-shaped extendable plate 1 positioned around stile of a door that is to be locked, microphone 2 to receive voice command of the user regrading closing of the door, artificial intelligence based imaging unit 3 for capturing images of the stile to determine thickness of the stile, motorized drawer arrangement 4 to accommodate the stile within the plate 1, air compressor 5 to inflate an inflatable layer 6, L-shaped telescopic bar 7 to position a suction unit 8 in contact with the jamb, telescopic clamps 9 to extend and grip handle of the door in view of affixing the plate 1 with the door, suction cups 10 affix the plate 1 with the style of the door and an electronic valve 11 installed to release a regulated amount of air in order to adjust inflation of the layer 6."
