MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023561 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'automated down spout extension installation device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Jaydip Kumar; and Dr. Dilip Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated down spout extension installation device, comprising a body 1 developed to be positioned on ground surface, AI based imaging unit 2 for displaying captured images accessed by user to select point in proximity to a down spout till where extension is to be installed, motorized scissor lift arrangement 5 to extend/retract to position body 1 in proximity to the outlet of down spout, motorized gripper 6 to extend for positioning motorized cutter 7 in proximity to the outlet, motorized cutter 7 to perform cutting of portion of the outlet, multi-sectioned chamber 8 for storing components, robotic arm 9 for gripping and assembling the components at cut portion of the outlet and extension pipes to install extension of the down spout till the user-specified point."
