MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019317 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'automated dry grass cutting device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Jai Prakash Gupta; and Dr. Rajneesh Tyagi.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated dry grass cutting device, comprises of a platform 1 with a disc 2 equipped with plates 3 developed to cut grass, a cylindrical hollow body 4 installed over the platform 1 in a manner to encase the disc 2 and attached with a motorized conveyer 5 that is to be manually placed with dry grass, a touch enabled screen 6 to give input commands for cutting the dry grass, an L-shaped telescopically operated pusher 7 configured within the body 4 to extend gradually for pushing the dry grass towards the disc 2, a bi-directional DC (Direct Current) electric motor coupled with the disc 2 for rotating the disc 2 in a first direction, and blades ranging from 4 to 6 in numbers are installed over the disc 2 that results in cutting of the dry grass due to the rotation of the disc 2 in the first direction."
