MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023108 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 24, 2024, for 'automated drywall hole repairing device.'

Inventor(s) include Arun Kumar Pipersenia.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated drywall hole repairing device, comprising a platform 1 positioned in proximity to a drywall by means of multiple motorized omnidirectional wheels 2 arranged beneath platform 1, a display panel 3 to enable a user to provide input regrading repair of a hole in a drywall, an imaging unit 4 to determines location and dimension of hole in drywall, an ultrasonic sensor determines distance of hole from platform 1, a robotic arm 7 to position a plate 8 configured with arm 7 over hole, electronic nozzles 10 to dispense mixture over boundary of hole, a motorized roller 11 to unwrap sheet 13 that is gripped by a pair of L-shaped telescopic clamps, a motorized sliding unit 14 that aid the clamps in appropriately aligning the sheet 13 over the hole, a multi-sectioned container 16 stored with filler blocks and arm 7 to dispense mixture over inserted block and aligned mesh."
