MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024826 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'automated eatable cutting assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Kismat; Dr. Pallavi; Sandhya Rathore; and Aditya Thakur.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated eatable cutting assistive device comprises of, a platform 1 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface, a plate 2 installed on the platform 1 for enabling a user to accommodate an eatable on the plate 2, a touch interactive display panel 3 is installed on the platform 1 to allow the user to provide input specifications regarding user-desired pieces of the eatable required to be cut, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 installed on the platform 1 to determine dimensions of the eatable, a pair of motorized clamps 5 horizontally arranged on the plate 2 to hold the eatable, multiple motorized curved blades integrated on lateral ends of the plate 2 to cut the eatable, an electronically controlled nozzle is integrated on the platform 1 for dispensing pressurized water from a chamber arranged on the platform 1."
