MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024852 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'automated flour sieving device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Chamkaur Singh; Dr. Inderpreet Kaur; Madhav; and Paras Jain.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated flour sieving device, comprising a cuboidal body 1 constructed with plurality of platforms developed to be stored with flour, wherein a handle 3 is gripped by user for handling body 1, a microphone 4 receives voice commands for sieving flour, a weight sensor detects weight of flour filled within body 1, a drawer arrangement extend platforms to increase dimensions of body 1, for preventing spillage of flour out from body 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 detects type of flour filled within body 1, plurality of frames 2 equipped with sieve of different pore sizes, multiple pair of motorized sliders 6, which aligning one of frames 2 having sieve of suitable pore size at front portion of body 1, a pusher 7 is installed in body 1 via a telescopically operated link 8, to gradually extend in synchronization with a vibrating unit for sieving flour through sieve."
