MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441012941 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 22, 2024, for 'automated food-item stirring device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Beemkumar Nagappan.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated food-item stirring device, comprises of a housing 1 installed by a user over a utensil in which a food item is being cooked, a pair of motorized clamps 2 to affix housing 1 over utensil, an imaging unit 4 determines dimensions of utensil, a rotatable hollow cylindrical body 5 accommodates a ladle that is inserted by user within body 5 via a cavity 6, a laser measurement sensor to monitor dimension of ladle, a motorized gear 8 rotates on axis that is transmitted to body 5 via meshed teeth 9 resulting rotation of body 5 on axis that further provides rotation to gripped ladle to stir food item being cooked, a passive infrared (PIR) sensor to determine presence of any insect in vicinity of housing 1 and an air blower 11 to direct air towards insects in view of deterring insects."
