MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010727 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 15, 2024, for 'automated footwear repairing device.'
Inventor(s) include Namit Gupta; and Shri Bhagwan.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated footwear repairing device, comprising a housing 1 with a platform 2 over which footwear is placed, a touch enabled screen 3 is mounted on housing 1 for enabling a user to input for placing footwear over platform 2, a motorized door 4 opens for allowing user to place footwear, a camera 5 for detecting damaged portion, a telescopically operated gripper 6 installed with housing 1 for gripping/positioning footwear in contact with a pair of links 7 in a manner to position links 7 between footwear and sole, a two-axis lead screw arrangement 8 translates links 7 for creating gap between footwear and sole in which adhesive is dispensed by an electronic nozzle 9, and a telescopically operated rod 11 configuring a cuboidal block 12s suspended from ceiling portion of housing 1 for applying an optimum pressure over footwear via block 12 for affixing sole with footwear."
