MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004743 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 23, 2024, for 'automated gap filling device for glass panels.'

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an automated gap filling device for glass panels, comprising a housing 1 installed with a touch enabled screen 2 accessed by a user to give input command for filling gaps between glass panels, a microcontroller linked with screen 2 processes entered command and activates a camera 3 installed on housing 1 for detecting exact location of gaps between glass panels, multiple motorized grooved wheels 4 attached underneath housing 1 and equipped with multiple suction cups 5 via a set of pneumatic pins 6 for maneuvering and positioning housing 1 over gaps, a suction unit 7 installed at base portion of housing 1 for withdrawing dust/dirt from gaps, and an electronic nozzle 9 attached at base portion housing 1 via a motorized two-axis lead screw arrangement 10 and connected with a vessel 11 for dispensing filling solution in gaps."
