MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411011082 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 16, 2024, for 'automated gas cylinder relocating device.'

Inventor(s) include Vivek Kumar; and Puneet Agarwal.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated gas cylinder relocating device includes a frame 1 positioned on a ground, a display panel 2 for providing input regarding a location where a gas-cylinder is to be relocated, an imaging unit 3 to determine position of cylinder, two arms 4 for gripping and positioning cylinder on a platform 5, links 6 configured between platform 5 and frame 1 for orienting platform 5 for accommodation of cylinder over platform 5, multiple clamping units 7 arranged on platform 5 for gripping cylinder securely, a GPS(global positioning system) module for monitoring real time location of frame 1, based on which multiple track wheels 8 move frame 1 towards user-specified location, robotic arms 4 unloads cylinder from platform 5, an angle sensor for monitoring angle of surface with respect to frame 1 and in case of altered monitored angle, wheels 8 actuates to get re-oriented for moving frame 1 on surface."
