MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019410 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'automated ground post removing device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated ground post removing device, comprising a platform 1 configured with multiple rods 2 that provides support to the platform 1, a motorized wheel 3 for providing movement to the platform 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 for determining presence of a ground post, an ultrasonic sensor for detecting distance between the platform 1 and post, a pair of V-shaped motorized links 5 for deploying an inverted U-shaped frame 6 adjacent to the post, a position sensor for detecting an appropriate position of post that is required to be gripped, a telescopic bar 7 for positioning a foldable plate 8, towards the detected position, a laser sensor mapped on the frame 6 for detecting thickness of the post, a pair of gripping units 9 attached with the bar 7 for gripping the post followed by retraction of bar 7 to uplift and remove post out of surface."
