MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411073963 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Sept. 30, 2024, for 'automated hair coloring device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Shweta Pandey; Shalu Shukla; and Sandeep Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated hair coloring device, comprising a platform 1 positioned near back portion of a user via plurality of suction cups 2, a touch interactive display panel 3 receives input regrading coloring of user's hairs, a telescopic pole 5 positions a ring 6 around head portion of user, two robotic grippers 7 access chamber 8 to withdraw one cap and engage around user's head, a laser sensor detects dimensions of user's head and accordingly grippers 7 engage cap over user's head, a dome shaped member 9 is rotated by a sliding unit 10, a primary motorized slider 11 translate a hook 12 to position over holes crafted over cap, a telescopic rod position hook 12 over hole(s), a ball and socket joint rotate hook 12 for enabling user to extract hairs through holes, secondary motorized slider 14 translates robotic arm 15 for coloring user's hairs via brush."
