MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025981 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'automated ice scrapping device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated ice scrapping device, comprising a cone shaped body 1 configured with multiple pneumatic rubberized pins 2 scraps the ice, multiple slots provides a gripping platform 3 to the user, an artificial intelligence-based image capturing unit 6 captures image of the vehicle, pair of expandable clamping units 7 extends to grip the vehicle, an ultrasonic sensor detects the depth of the ice, a Peltier unit melts the ice, a capacitive sensor detects the material of the vehicle, a plate 8 maneuvers over the ice, a motorized slider provides movement to the body 1, a microphone accessed by user to provide inputs, a motorized ball and socket joint rotates the rod."
