MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026116 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'automated insulation sheet installation device for foam.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Supriya Agnihotri; Dr. Gurpreet Kandav; Ankita Verma; and Anjum Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated insulation sheet installation device for foam, comprising, a housing 1 positioned on a ground surface of an enclosure having walls pre-installed with a foam, wherein a touch enabled screen 2 is installed on the to give input commands for installing an insulation sheet on the foam, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 for detecting exact location of the foam, motorized omnidirectional wheels 9 configured underneath the housing 1 for maneuvering and positioning the housing 1 in proximity to first side of the foam, a U-shaped frame 5 installed with the housing 1 via an L-shaped telescopically operated rod 8 and equipped with a spool 6 wrapped with an insulating sheet, and a telescopically operated gripper for gripping an iron nail from a chamber 13 attached with the frame 5 and positioning the nail in contact with the sheet."
