MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411017975 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 12, 2024, for 'automated internal gear maintenance device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated internal gear maintenance device, comprises of a platform 1 configured with multiple rods 2 to provide support to platform 1 on a ground surface, an adjustable holder 4 assembled on platform 1 to be placed with an internal gear, a weight sensor to detect successful placement of gear over holder 4, a touch interactive display panel 7 for enabling the user to input details regarding type of gear, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 8 for detecting uneven edge on teeth of gear, a high-speed rotatable clamp 11 to perform repairing of the teeth, a temperature sensor to detect temperature of the surroundings, an electronic nozzle 13 configured with a reservoir 14 to dispense lubricating solution on the gear and a first and second testing gauges for detecting finishing of repaired teeth and a speaker 15 to notify the user regarding repairing of the gear."
