MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441012497 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 21, 2024, for 'automated label applying device for articles.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated label applying device for articles, comprising a platform 1 installed with a touch enabled screen 2 for inputting commands regarding text to be written, a printing unit 3 prints text on a paper and location of text is detected by a camera 4, accordingly two grippers 5 grip and position paper underneath a pneumatic blade 6 installed on platform 1 via an L-shaped bar 7, a motorized two-axis lead screw arrangement 9 moves blade 6 bi-directionally for cutting out a paper piece having text, a robotic arm 8 pulls and unwraps scotch mailing tape from a spool 10 and grippers 5 paste paper piece on cut tape gripper 5 dips in a chamber 16, for imprinting text on tape, a scrubber 13 removes paper from tape, an electronic nozzle 15 dispense adhesive solution on label, an air blower 17 blows hot air for adhering label on article."
