MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025410 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'automated link chain manufacturing device.'

Inventor(s) include Sanjeet Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated link chain manufacturing device, comprising a housing 1 positioned on a ground surface and attached with spool 11 wrapped with a thick metal wire, a touch enabled screen 2 accessed by a user to give input commands regarding length of link chain to be manufactured, a telescopically operated gripper 3 gradually uncoils wire, an RPM sensor detecting length of wire unwrapped, a motorized cutter 4 cuts unwrapped wire and collected on a platform 1, a pair of elongated members 5 configured with a pair of protrusions 6 and a pair of motorized hinges 7 moulding forming first link for chain, a robotic arm 8 accommodating metal pieces between protrusions 6 in a successive manner and simultaneously hinges 7 rotates members 5 towards each other for making other links of chain in successive manner."
