MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006616 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'automated livestock loading device.'
Inventor(s) include Parneet Kaur; Dr. Ishpreet Singh; Harpreet Kaur Toor; Dripti Mehta; and Dr. Amresh Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated livestock loading device comprises of a installed with an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 to detect presence of an animal in proximity to the vehicle, a pair of motorized vertical sliding units 3 to translate the plate 4 towards a ground surface in order to allow the animal to get accommodated on the plate 4, an ultrasonic sensor for determining dimensions of the accommodated animal, a drawer arrangement 5 to get extended for properly accommodating the animal on the plate 4, a pair of hydraulic actuators 6 to extend/retract for supporting the plate 4 to translate for uplifting the accommodated animal up to the platform 1, and multiple inverted U-shaped panels 7 assembled via a pair of motorized sliders 8 to translate the panels 7 to create an optimum gapping in between panels 7 in order to accommodate the animal within the gapping."
