MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621010127 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Jan. 30, for 'automated load carrier system.'
Inventor(s) include Slock Ahuja; Dhaval Bahopiya; Prof. C. D. Parmar; and Prof. Mitesh Solanki.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated load carrier system, comprising a carrier platform 101, a plurality of motorized wheels 102 for autonomous movement over a surface, a plurality of electromagnets 103 to generate a magnetic levitation force to lift the carrier platform 101, a plurality of force-sensing resistors (FSRs) 105 to generate weight distribution data by measuring a load, a LIDAR module 106 to generate mapping data of a surrounding environment, an IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) 107 to generate orientation and acceleration data, a reconfigurable payload interface 104 to securely hold a payload of a variable shape or size, a safety unit to deploy the retractable mechanical supports 108 to physically support the carrier platform 101 in response to a detected power failure, and an energy management unit to recover energy generated during a controlled descent of the carrier platform 101."
