MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023563 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'automated lock replacement device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated lock replacement device, comprising a platform 1 positioned over a ground surface and in proximity to a door by means of plurality of omnidirectional wheels 2, a touch interactive display panel 3 to provide input regrading maintenance of a aldrop door lock, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 determines location of aldrop door lock, an laser measurement sensor detects distance of lock from platform 1, a telescopic rod 5 extends to position platform 1 in proximity to lock, a corrosion sensor detects presence of corrosion over lock, an electronic nozzle 6 dispenses a regulated amount of anti-corrosion solution over lock, an color sensor determines presence of paint stains, a robotic gripper 10 positions a motorized brush 11 over detected stains to remove stains, a robotic link 12 position a motorized disc configuring screw drivers 13, over screws for detaching lock for replacing it with new one."
