MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023601 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'automated marble slab cutting device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Rohit Sharma; and Neeraj Chaurasia.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated marble slab cutting device, comprises a platform 1 accommodating a marble slab, a touch interactive display panel 2 arranged on the platform 1 accessed by a user for providing input, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on the platform 1 determines dimensions of the accommodated slab, a pair of robotic arms 4 installed on the platform 1 for gripping and reposition the slab on the platform 1, a water jet nozzle 6 integrated on a telescopically operated L-shaped rod 5 dispenses pressurized water, an extendable L-shaped pole 8 performs tapering of edges of the cut slabs, a container 9 integrated with an electronically controlled spout 10 by means of an extendable L-shaped bar 11 for positioning the spout 10 over tapered edge of the cut slab, and plurality of motorized hinge joints 13 integrated in between the platform 1 to provide tilting movement to the plate 12."
