MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019419 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'automated metal formwork adjusting device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated metal formwork adjusting device includes a body 1 configured with multiple rods 2 for support over a metal formwork, an imaging unit 4 determines orientation of formwork, accordingly multiple clamping units 5 grips multiple re-bars positioned within formwork, a laser sensor detects alignment of re-bars, in case of incorrect alignment, a hydraulic unit 6 powers rods 2 to extend for lifting of re-bars, a weight sensor installed on clamping units 5 for detecting lifting of formwork, a clamping unit 7 extends to grip misaligned re-bars sequentially a double rack gear arrangement 8 coupled with clamping unit 7 provides linear motion to clamping unit 7 to alter arrangement 8 of re-bars, a chamber 9 mapped inside body 1 for storing lubricating solution and configured with an nozzle 10 for dispensing solution on a junction point of re-bars to reduce friction between re-bars that allows re-aligning of re-bars."
