According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated newspaper selling device, comprising a body 1, a touch interactive display panel 2 that is accessed by a user for providing input regarding a user-desired newspaper which is to be bought by user along with number of pieces of newspaper, which an inbuilt microcontroller directs panel 2 to display information regarding availability of newspapers along with a total price for purchase of newspaper in form a QR (quick response) code that is scanned by the user's computing unit, a multi-sectioned chamber 3 stored with newspapers, an extendable L-shaped pusher 4 for applying a pushing force on stored newspapers in a manner that one of stored newspaper is dispensed, a pair of sliding channels 7 integrated with a slider a L-shaped link 8 connected with a motor's shaft that converts rotational motion of shaft into linear motion leading to dispensing of accommodated newspaper towards an outlet 9."
