MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531011934 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 12, for 'automated nut extraction device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Sasanka Choudhury.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated nut extraction device, comprising a housing 101 positioned over a fixed surface with a chamber 102 stored with plurality of unshelled nuts from which nuts are to be extracted, a display panel 103 installed over housing 101 to enable the user to provide input regarding extraction of nuts from unshelled nuts, a motorized iris unit 104 installed beneath the chamber 102 to dispense one of the unshelled nut from chamber 102 and transfer over a conveyor 105, a platform 116 configured within housing 101 and arranged in continuation to the conveyor 105, an imaging unit 106 installed within housing 101 determines dimensions of unshelled nut, a pair of hydraulic pushers 107 installed over lateral sides of platform 116 to extend and grip unshelled nut, a hydraulic rod 108 configured with the platform 116 by means of an inverted L-shaped link 109 to extend and retract."
