MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411011289 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 19, 2024, for 'automated object lifting device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated object lifting device comprises of a pair of semi-cylindrical structure 1 attached with each other via a pair of C-shaped plates 2 installed over a pair of uppermost rungs of a ladder, an ultrasonic sensor for detecting distance between two consecutive rungs of ladder, a motorized slider 3 for translating structures 1 close/away from each other, a hinge for deploying structures 1 to accommodate structure 1 over rungs, an imaging unit 4 for capturing multiple images of rungs, multiple suction units 5 for affixing structure 1 over rungs, a pair of telescopic rods 6 attached with a handle 7 accessed by a user for holding ladder, a motorized roller 8 wrapped with a strap 9 for unwrapping strap 9 that gets passed through a pulley 10 towards object, a LiDAR sensor for detecting thickness of object and a motorized clamping unit 11 for gripping object."
