MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441012918 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 22, 2024, for 'automated obstacle safeguarding device for aerial vehicles.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. D Ramya Dorai.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated obstacle safeguarding device for aerial vehicles, comprises of a frame 1 having a platform 2 positioned on a ground surface, plurality of motorized omnidirectional wheels 3 for moving the frame 1 over edges of a high-rise building's apex, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 for detecting the presence of aerial vehicle near the building, a radar gun 5 for monitoring the velocity of aerial vehicle, a hydraulically operated rod 6 arranged on the platform 2 to extend for positioning the rod 6 over edges of the building, a panel 7 assembled on the rod 6 via a motorized ball and socket joint 8 to move and orient towards the vehicle and multiple high beam lights for alerting and guiding vehicle during the vehicle's flight."
