MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020750 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'automated oil extraction device for shampoo ginger lily plant.'
Inventor(s) include Shakuli Saxena.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated oil extraction device for shampoo ginger lily plant, comprising a body 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, AI-based imaging unit 2 to capture images in vicinity of platform to determine location of a flower on a shampoo lily plant present in vicinity of the platform, motorized wheels 3 to move the body 1 at a determined location, telescopically operated rod 4 to extend/retract to position end of the rod 4 near the flower, motorized clamping unit 5 to acquire a grip over the flower, robotic arm 6 to extend/retract to position a container 7 underneath the flower, container 7 for collecting dripped oil from the flower, motorized iris lid 8 to get closed to store extracted oil in the container 7 and a speaker 9 to notify the user regarding emptying of the container 7 before further collection of oil in the container 7."
