MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441012498 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 21, 2024, for 'automated paddy planting device.'

Inventor(s) include Manu Se.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated paddy planting device, comprises of a H-shaped telescopic frame 1 positioned on a ground surface within an agricultural land configured with track wheels 2 to move the frame 1, a touch interactive display panel 3 accessed by a user to provide input commands for planting paddy crop, a motorized roller 4 attached with frame 1 to rotate on its axis to unwind a sheet 5 having holes, an imaging unit 6 to determine successful laying of the sheet 5 at user-specified land, a motorized iris lid configured with a chamber 7 to open and dispense defined quantity of seeds on the holes, a container 8 to store soil, a scoop 10 configured over a robotic link 9 to dispense soil over the seeds and a nozzle to dispense water over the soil."
