MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411011083 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 16, 2024, for 'automated paint brush manufacturing device.'

Inventor(s) include Amita Sharma; and Shri Bhagwan.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated paint brush manufacturing device includes a frame 1 positioned vertically on a fixed surface via multiple rods 2, a display panel 3 to input regarding size of a paint brush to be manufactured, a roller 4 for unwinding an appropriate length of metallic sheet 5 that is cut by a cutter 6, two grippers 7,8 for picking and placing sheet's piece over tray 9 after bending, a welding unit 10 arranged on tray 9 to form a circular loop of piece, grippers 7,8 for picking and engaging circular loop with an expansion arrangement 15 to form a ferrule, grippers 7,8 withdraws bristles from chamber 11 and places within ferrule, grippers 7,8 accesses container 12 for withdrawing and placing sticks inside ferrule to lock bristles, grippers 7,8 access storage unit 13 for withdrawing and placing one handles into ferrule further pressed by pusher 14 to manufacture user specified brush."
