MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531019809 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 5, for 'automated paint container lid opening device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated paint container lid opening device comprising a cuboidal body 101 having multiple wheels 102 arranged underneath body 101 for providing movement, an imaging unit 103 mounted on body 101 to determine presence of paint container near to body 101, a C-shaped frame 104 configured with base plate 105 attached with body 101 via two supporting rods 106 for accommodating a paint container, a cutting unit 107 installed on body 101 via a link rod 108 for cutting seal of container, multiple clamping units 109 configured on apex of frame 104 for acquiring a secure grip around lid, a pneumatic pusher integrated in between frame 104 and every clamping units 109 for applying force over lid, a hammering unit 110 assembled on body 101 by means of an extendable L-shaped link 111 for positioning hammering unit 110 at lid, a microphone 112 embedded on body 101 for receiving commands."
