MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441013518 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'automated paper binding device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Shajahar Bhaseer.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated paper binding device, comprising a cuboidal platform 1 positioned on a fixed surface, a multi-sectioned chamber 2 integrated within the platform 1 storing pages, a display panel 3 mounted on the platform 1 enabling user's input commands, a plate 4 installed in continuation with the chamber 2 for receiving paper, an imaging unit 5 installed on the plate 4 detecting alignment of papers which are arranged by a pair of motorized clippers 6 installed on the plate 4, a punching arrangement 7 installed on the platform 1 for creating holes on the paper translated via a sliding arrangement 8 installed in between the plate 4 and platform 1, a container 9 configured on the platform 1 storing wire dies and a robotic gripper 10 mounted on the platform 1 positioning holes of the pages within slots crafted on the dies."
