MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010808 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 16, 2024, for 'automated paracord bundling device.'

Inventor(s) include Gulista Khan; and Arun Gupta.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated paracord bundling device, comprises of an L-shaped platform 1 placed on a ground surface in proximity to a paracord, a touch enabled screen 2 installed on the platform 1 to give input, a camera 3 mounted on the platform 1 for capturing multiple images of the paracord, at least four motorized omnidirectional wheels 4 configured underneath the platform 1 for moving the platform 1 in proximity to the free-end, a disc 5 installed on the platform 1 and configured with a set of elongated members 6 via a set of motorized sliders 7 utilize in wrapping the free end of the paracord, a telescopically operated gripper 8 configured on the platform 1 for gripping and wrapping the free-end over the members 6, and a DC (Direct Current) motor coupled with the disc 5 for rotating the disc 5 in view of obtaining the bundle of the paracord."
