MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023591 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'automated pattern engraving device.'

Inventor(s) include Sohan Lal; and Dr. Meenakshi Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An automated pattern engraving device comprises of a platform 1 along with an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 arranged on the platform 1 to determine location of the concrete surface from the ground surface, multiple motorized wheels 2 to move the platform 1 in proximity to the concrete surface, an ultrasonic sensor for monitoring width of the concrete surface, L-shaped rod 7 for adjusting a panel 10 in proximity to a distant end of the concrete surface, a non-contact moisture sensor is installed on the platform 1 for monitoring moisture level of the concrete surface, and multiple extendable pins assembled on the panel 10 for getting inserted at an optimum depth on the concrete surface in view of engraving a pattern on the concrete surface in order to maintain an optimum friction on the concrete surface."
